GBR Thrills Take 1

Hey all!

This past weekend I made my first little excursion outside of New South Wales (the state in which Sydney is located). My one friend and I headed lightly north to Cairnes, Queensland. Home of the Great Barrier Reef.

To get there we needed to fly about 3 hours. The first day was quite boring and we were extremely tired. So we headed to bed hoping to be all rested up for our plummet to the Earth early the next day.

So yeah...we kinda did this cool thing... SKY DIVING. It was on both Ashley and I's bucket list and what better place to do it then the Great Barrier Reef. Check it out!

Ashley and I all geared up!
View from the ride up
The plummet to the Earth!
YAY the parachute opened!
I DID IT!
Later in the day we also rented a car and walked through the rainforest to see Barron Gorge, not nearly as exciting but the little road trip was just enough chill to go with our thrill.

Lot's of pictures...I know. But there are plenty more in the link to the right if these weren't enough! More info on thrill #2 of the Great Barrier Reef to come.

The daredevil herself,

Christine

p.s. Did I mention I jumped first?
